Remembering When™ - a fire and fall prevention program for older adults.
Get involved with seniors in your community!
Office of State Fire Marshal (OSFM) is committed to helping communities reduce fire and fall injuries and deaths among older adults. Since 1999, communities throughout North America have implemented the National Fire Protection Association’s Remembering When™ program, reaching older adults. To ensure the Remembering When™ program is reaching the most vulnerable of older adults, OSFM will select representative teams from 15 Oregon communities to attend a train-the-trainer workshop on January 30, 2009.
OSFM is asking fire departments to partner with an agency whose main outreach is to older adults. Such agencies may include visiting nurse associations, home health care agencies, church outreach groups, senior centers and other organizations who serve older adults.
